Newegg partnered with Rokt to monetize its checkout journey and maximize the value of each transaction. They integrated Rokt Pay+ and Rokt Thanks on their Payment and Confirmation pages during the Transaction Moment™, the critical point when customers are most engaged and primed for relevant offers.
With Rokt, Newegg unlocked a new revenue stream by surfacing the most relevant payment offers at checkout and rewarding customers with exclusive third-party offers post-purchase. Each time a customer opted in, Newegg generated ancillary revenue.
Because Rokt’s AI and machine learning process first-party customer data in real time, Newegg ensured offers remained highly relevant, creating a seamless and engaging customer journey. Fan said,

Integrating with Rokt did not compromise customer experience but rather enriched it. For example, Fan said that shoppers told him, “‘The special discount on accessories that popped up was exactly what I needed to complete my purchase. It felt like a thoughtful recommendation and not just another ad.'”
Unblocking strategic advertisers to achieve revenue uplift
Initially, Newegg limited offers on the Payment page to those from leading payment providers. Given that the Payment page is a high-stakes part of the checkout journey, the team was cautious about introducing cashback and rewards advertisers. They were concerned this might disrupt cart conversions.
In close collaboration with Rokt, Newegg launched an experiment to test how adding offers from cashback and rewards advertisers, such as Capital One Shopping and Rakuten, would impact both customer experience and revenue performance.
The results were immediate. Newegg saw a notable increase in Value per Transaction (VPT) and Value per Payment Page Transaction (VPP). Within two months, unblocking cashback and rewards advertisers drove a 375% increase in VPP and a 157% increase in overall VPT. These results signaled that customers viewed these offers as relevant and valuable, not distracting. Fan shared:
These improvements are critical for our business as they directly translate into increased revenue, allowing us to invest in other areas such as product development and customer support."
